  • Patti and Kevin

    Kevin is living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Patti, Kevin’s mum, says: “I guess you can say that I’m an ordinary mom living with extraordinary circumstances because of Duchenne.” One of Patti’s goals is “to find ways to keep Kevin involved with his friends and the things that he likes to do – and make him the most balanced kid that he can be”. parentprojectmd.org

    Billy has Marfan syndrome, a connective tissue disorder. Billy wants people living with this condition to be proud of their long fingers, arms and legs. marfan.org

  • Caleb

    “My name is Caleb and I was born in Liberia. I am a twin and I am a little person. My twin brother David is not a little person and is average size. I love music, dancing and singing and want to get into music and acting when I get older. My dad says I need to study hard and get good grades in school in case this plan does not work out” lpaonline.org

  • Irina

    “I was born in Russia. I was put in an orphanage when I was four days old. My mum and dad adopted me when I was five, now I live in Maine. I like basketball, hockey and being a jokester. I have two younger sisters. I have achondroplasia, which is the most common form of dwarfism. My bones just don’t grow as fast as the average kids, so I’m short.” lpaonline.org

  • Grace

    Grace is a very active and happy young lady. She enjoys not only taking pictures but also posting pictures on her PEARLS Project page. She loves to swim, sail and horseback ride. Grace is also an avid performer. She takes singing and dancing lessons, which also includes her favorite part - being in shows! ndss.org
